Twenty people killed in Saudi aistrikes on Southwest Yemen

>Cairo, Jan 7 (UNI/SPUTNIK) Twenty people were killed in strikes by the Saudi-led Arab coalition against forces of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) in the province of Ad Dali in southwestern Yemen, a source in the provincial government told Sputnik on Wednesday.
"Coalition aircraft carried out about 12 airstrikes on military equipment in the areas of Zubayd, Al-Zand, and Jahaf in the province of Ad Dali. The equipment was being transported by trucks carrying weapons and ammunition smuggled from the temporary capital of Aden. The airstrikes killed 20 people, including women and children," the source said.
Turki al-Maliki, the spokesperson for the Arab coalition supporting Yemen's internationally recognised government, said on X that coalition forces, together with the Yemeni government, carried out limited preemptive strikes early Wednesday morning on positions of the Southern Transitional Council in the province of Ad Dali to stop military actions that could escalate the conflict.
The STC leader, Aidarus al-Zubaidi, mobilised large forces around midnight, which had armored vehicles, heavy and light weapons, and ammunition from the Hadid and As-Sulban military camps in the direction of the province of Ad Dali, al-Maliki said.
